Individual and group guidance in the neighborhood
tudies show that a teenager is willing to accept more when he is in a familiar environment that he considers ‘protected‘.
The Bino team is aware of this ability and employs about 30 field personnel operating in14 neighborhoods in the city.
The field coordinators reach every youth at his location – whether inside the yeshiva or outside it, inside the seminary or in the city squares, and try to provide him with a solution.
Locating
The neighborhood coordinator locates the youth at the pre-coping or coping stage and creates an initial intake with him.
Social emotional envelope
He or she provides the youth with a full social-emotional envelope and, in cooperation with the educational team and the parents, creates for him an individual work plan assisted by a wide variety of solutions tailored to him.
Mediation
Among the responses that field coordinators can mediate to the child are: Finding a suitable framework, arrangement of afternoon or evening studies, emotional therapy by an emotional supporter, social worker, or psychologist, and more.
