Youth treated at the Bino treatment unit

Therapeutic counseling unit

The Bino Center’s therapeutic counseling unit provides therapy and counseling to boys and girls under supervision of the Bino Center’s team in the field.
When the social workers guiding field coordinators identify the need for a therapeutic or counseling response, treatment of the child is entrusted to the organization’s therapeutic unit.
The field coordinators reach every youth at his location – whether inside the yeshiva or outside it, inside the seminary or in the city squares, and try to provide him with a solution.

Intake

At the beginning of the application to the therapeutic unit, an intake meeting is held between the treating staff and the child and his/her parents. During the meeting, the team learns about the wishes of the child and his/her parents and the goals they all wish to achieve

Needs assessment process

After that, the unit managers then enter the picture, perform a needs assessment process, and build a tailored intervention plan adapted to the applicant’s needs. The unit provides individual treatment, individual counseling, parent counseling, parenting therapy, and other treatments.

The unit consists of a multi-disciplinary team made up entirely of top-notch treatment professionals. All therapists in the unit are qualified professionals and experts in the fields of psychotherapy, social work, family therapy, art therapy, and educational counseling.

We in the unit believe in culturally sensitive treatment adapted to the applicant’s cultural background.
Our therapeutic approach in the unit is a systemic approach that sees the adolescent in his family, educational and social environment and, as a result,

in addition to the individual intervention, we strive to work together with the parents and the formal and informal educational staff, congruent with the way of life and accepted culture of the community.
